As part of the nationwide culinary series to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Share Our Strength, the nonprofit behind the No Kid Hungry campaign, James Beard Award-winning chef Zach Engel will host an intimate, one-of-a-kind dinner on April 15, 2025 at Michelin-starred Galit to raise funds to help end childhood hunger. The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception at the newly opened Cafe Yaya, which is located next door to Galit.

Chef Zach Engel welcomes an A+ lineup of Chicago’s best chefs—Diana Dávila, Paul Virant, Joe Flamm, and Galit’s own pastry chef, Mary Eder-McClure—into his kitchen at Galit for a rare dining experience. These celebrated chefs are donating their time to craft an extraordinary meal, blending their culinary expertise with their shared commitment to giving back. Guests will enjoy an evening of exceptional food and drinks, and warm hospitality, all in support of the mission to end childhood hunger!
