June is a fantastic month in the Windy City for many reasons, not the least of which is all the love and community spread as a part of Pride Month. Pride Month is all about the promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of the LBGTQIA+ community, and many restaurants across the city are taking part by creating beautiful dishes and giving back to a variety of nonprofits. When deciding where to dine this month, support these spots to also give back to a community and a celebration all about love…

Goddess and Grocer {multiple locations}: Though their Rainbow Cake is Instagram-famous all year long, for the month of June, you’ll also be doing good in the community when you buy a slice from Goddess and Grocer. They will be donating $1 from all Rainbow Cake Slices and Rainbow Kebobs sold to the Center on Halsted, a community organization for LGBTQIA Chicagoans and Midwesterners alike.

Travelle at The Langham {The Langham, Chicago; 330 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago; 312.923.7705}: Travelle at The Langham will be celebrating Pride Month with their new summer cocktail, “Oh Snap.” Made with sugar snap pea and sage-infused Ketel One Vodka, honey shrub, lemon, goji berry cordial, and soda water, this summery sip is even served with a rainbow straw for an extra touch of color. Travelle will be donating $1 from each drink sold to the Center on Halsted to support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) people of Chicagoland.

Together, they have created a Confetti Cake Brownie which will be available in-store and delivery with a splendid twist for Pride Month: 100% of proceeds will benefit the Center on Halsted through the whole month of June.

Molly's Cupcakes {multiple locations}: Another amazing dessert option are the specialty filled cupcakes from Molly’s! In June, 25% of the proceeds from their iconic Cake Batter Cupcakes (which got a special sprinkled update just for June) will be donated to The Trevor Project. This nonprofit’s work could not be more important, as they focus on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.
