For the third consecutive year, this celebrity chef-studded event will take over the iconic Fulton Market beer hall in support of nonprofit Pilot Light, with $2-a-shuck oysters courtesy of Island Creek Oysters, plenty of boozy drinks (including an exclusive cocktail from guest bartender Sam Perrie of Milk Room!), and a massive eight-foot oyster boat center stage in the dining room. As new migrants seeking asylum continue to arrive in Chicago, the city’s chef community has banded together to offer much needed support. Pendry Chicago and Venteux, the French brasserie on the hotel’s ground floor, have partnered with humanitarian effort-focused organization Chicago Chefs Cook to present Chicago Chefsgiving on Thursday November 9th. The chef-driven fundraising dinner at Venteux benefits Pilsen Food Pantry’s “New Migrant Program”, a dedicated effort to provide food, clothing, healthcare resources, and more to the city’s newest arrivals. The five-course feast will feature seasonal fare by several of the city’s buzziest chefs!

This event promises to be a true celebration of all things wine, where hundreds of enthusiasts will gather to enjoy exquisite wines and delectable bites, and witness a thrilling blind wine-tasting competition.

WineRival brings together the nation's sommelier community and wine aficionados for a blind-tasting tournament led by event creator Adam Sweders. Sixty-four individuals will go head-to-head to advance to the championship round with the ultimate hope of taking home the grand prize, a staggering $25,000 cash prize.

This year's event is all about tailgating with guests dining on an inventive menu by Celebrity Chef Fabio Viviani while sipping on a wide variety of the world's most renowned wineries in a walk-around atmosphere. Guests will revel in the intricate flavors and aromas as they sample Penfolds wines that have earned global recognition for their excellence. While wine takes the spotlight, a full bar with craft cocktails will cater to all preferences, plus craft beer offerings from Two Brothers.

A Boy and His Dream Presents 'Summer of Dreams': A Spectacular Evening of Charity, Fashion, and Celebration

A Boy & His Dream is hosting a ‘Summer of Dreams’ event, a fundraiser for the underserved youth! A Summer of Dreams will be held on Saturday, September 30th, beginning at 5:30 PM. 

This special event will be held at Vertiport Chicago with the highlight of the night being an exquisite fashion show featuring designers with African inspiration crafted into each of their pieces, exciting the audience to raise money for the underserved youth. In addition to this unique fashion show, there will be local vendors, DJ playing afro beats to light up the night, a silent auction and VIP Helicopter experience. Delicious local featured Hors-d’oeuvres & refreshing cocktails from our amazing sponsors will also be key parts of the evening and included in your ticket purchase. 

 With your generosity, we hope to raise $100,000 which will allow us to provide playgrounds to underprivileged children in Nigeria as well as towards scholarships for our brilliant students of Chicago to greater their education & future.

Good friends and great adventures go together like bacon and eggs. Inspired by the journeys we share with friends, all-star chef friends Art Smith (Art Smith’s Reunion) and Lorena Garcia (Chica) will reunite for a special addition to the 2023 Chicago Gourmet lineup titled, “Rise & Shine Gourmet.” 

From September 21-24, 2023, Chicago Gourmet, one of the nation’s most distinguished food festivals, will set its sights on adventure. Founding sponsor Illinois Restaurant Association, together with presenting sponsor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, will celebrate all things food + travel this year dubbing the theme for the 2023 weekend culinary festival to be “All Roads Lead to Gourmet.”

A new Sunday morning stop on the Chicago Gourmet itinerary, Rise & Shine Gourmet will feature a multi-course family-style brunch featuring Southern classics with Latin flair along with sensational cocktails, chill music, and fun chef interactions in a beautiful setting at Chef Art Smith's Reunion.

Chicago's premier neighborhood wine tasting is back this Fall, and tickets are officially on sale! The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of Lincoln Park Uncorked: A Lincoln Avenue Wine Stroll set for Thursday, September 21 from 6-9pm. The returning event will invite neighbors and newcomers alike to discover some of the best wines of the season while exploring over 15 local businesses on Lincoln Avenue from Diversey to Webster. Businesses of all categories will open their doors to participants offering curated wines from Vin Chicago along with light fare to enjoy as they journey down Lincoln Avenue for an evening of fun. 

Tickets are on sale online for $44 per person (early bird special) and include admission to the event, wine tastings and light fare at each participating business, an exclusive branded wine glass, tasting guide and in-store specials at participating businesses. Group pricing is also available, and the event is expected to sell out quickly.

Le Sud Mediterranean Kitchen will celebrate 5 years in Roscoe Village with a week-long celebration in September! From Tuesday, September 19 to Sunday, September 24, dining guests will receive complimentary pizza slices from their soon-to-open, second floor Mediterranean-style pizza bar, Le Nord. Chef William Lara's pizza menu features flavors and ingredients inspired by the South of France, Italy, Spain, Morocco and Greece. In addition, Le Sud will offer complimentary wine tastings (Tornatore Etna Bianco; Tornatore Etna Rosso) throughout the anniversary week during brunch and dinner service.
