What to Eat, Drink, See & Do in November
Tucked in between spooky season and all the joy of the holidays, November is one of the best months to get you into a festive spirit to make the most of the final weeks of the year. From holiday events and themed pop-up bars, to seasonal specials and more, we’ve rounded up the best things to do in Chicago this November. Let’s make the most of the end of 2022 in our favorite city!
Hit Up Harry's House Pop-Up at Replay Lincoln Park (November 10-13)
Grab you feather boas and sparkles because Harry Styles is coming to Chicago’s favorite pop-up bar! No, not the REAL Harry Styles, sadly 😉 But for one weekend only, Replay Lincoln Park will transform into “Harry’s House” to help fans celebrate their favorite artist with Instagrammable moments that allude to Harry’s albums, along with feather boas, a day party with mimosas, live DJ sets and more.
Dig in to Sunda’s Fall Happy Hour (Launches November 14)
If your wallet has been feeling a little light lately (you’re not alone), then you’re going to love these offers from one of Chicago’s favorites! You can enjoy Sunda’s expertly created dishes, on a budget! Their bar bites and happy hour menu includes specials like $6 Seoul Wings (above) and Adobo Pork Belly Bites, $8 cocktails and $6 glasses of wine, plus handrolls, sake and more. Come right at quitting time and enjoy!
Party at Bandit’s “Friends”giving (Wednesday, November 16)
Could we BE any more excited for this event in honor of everyone’s favorite sitcom?! Head to Bandit for Friends’ games and prizes, a specialty menu that includes the Central Perk Martini, Geller "Moist Maker" Sandwich, Joey's Meatballs (no sharing!) and more! Plus (of course) all the “Friends” Thanksgiving episodes will be playing. Grab your friends, and head on over!
Get Festive at the Magnificent Mile Lights Fest (Saturday, November 19)
This one is a given, but it’s also not to miss! The unofficial kick-off of the holidays in Chicago arrives with all kinds of bright lights and fun times including floats, marching bands, celebrity appearances and more. Bring your family, friends, and especially any out of town guests for a magical evening in the Windy City! Or stay cozy at home and watch the televised event on TV 😉
Watch the World Cup at Old Town Pour House (November 20-28)
This is the big one, sports fans! The World Cup doesn’t happen every day, and soccer (football) fans across Chicago will be tuning in for these ever important games. Luckily, Old Town Pour House (River North) will open at 1PM for the USA games on Monday 11/21, Friday 11/25, and Tuesday 11/29. Their Naperville + Oak Brook locations will also be showing games Sunday, November 20 through Wednesday, November 23, plus Friday 11/25 and Monday 11/28. Sound will be on for all games so you can really get into the spirit!
Drink Up for Black Wednesday at Central Park Bar (Wednesday, November 23)
Chicagoans staying in town for Thanksgiving can celebrate Black Wednesday in style at Central Park Bar thanks to half-price happy hour from 4-7PM, seasonal specials like their Frozen Spiced Latte cocktail, plus $9 beer and shot combos all night. You can also have some fun with “Bring Your Own Board Game Night” or choose from a variety of games the bar has in-house like Connect 4, Guess Who, Uno and more. They just added heaters and weather-proofed their backyard bar area, so there’s room for everyone to celebrate!
Say “Cheers” at the Reindeer Room Pop-Up at Tack Room (Starting Friday, November 25)
Tack Room, the piano bar in the historic Thalia Hall building in Pilsen, will be decorated to the nines for the holidays with seasonal cocktails, music and fun! Starting November 25, the bar will be open Thursdays-Saturdays from 7PM-1AM and runs through New Years. It’s the perfect way to start your holiday celebrating!
Do Brunch at Stax Cafe for Apple Pie Pancakes (All November)
Pie isn’t just for Thanksgiving anymore! At Stax Cafe, you can enjoy a taste of apple pie all month long with their monthly pancake special: Apple Pie Pancakes 🥞 They’re a perfect bit of fall flavor, and Stax is always a fun place to gather your family. Maybe for one last feast over Thanksgiving weekend? Or just any Sunday that you want to feel extra special.
