Small businesses are the heart of any city, and that’s definitely true in Chicago. Our small businesses are made possible because of truly giving , hard working people who show up every day, making our city great. Since we founded Dine-It-4ward, we have worked with dozens of restaurants, bars, cafes, and bakeries… and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. That’s why we are so excited to be partnering with The People’s Club to put on a Small Business Showcase on March 20!

This all-day virtual event includes a variety of classes from your favorite Chicago spots! Learn from the culinary experts at Metropolis Coffee, Athena Restaurant Greektown and Tanta. Create an at-home spa environment with a meditation session and at-home facials from spaderma. Even get your inner artist on! Food, drink, art, and wellness - we’re doing it all!

This is a totally unique experience, and one that The People’s Club founder Brooke Burton is especially excited to offer…

“It's very rare to get a full 45 minute session with someone from places like Tanta, Athena, or Metropolis because you're usually just there as a customer and they're running around. This is a super unique opportunity to get to know the "why" behind these amazing Chicago-based businesses.”

Plus the whole day is virtual, so you can stay Covid-safe and extra cozy while you learn and have fun! And aside from the very obvious reason that you don’t have to leave home (and can participate in your sweats), Burton also highlights the ease of moving from one class to the other as one of the most exciting parts of the showcase.

“It’s really unique that we'll be able to go from learning about coffee, to doing facials, to eating Greek food, to an art class, to drinking Peruvian cocktails …all in one day! It would require a lot more work to do this kind of thing in person.”

Our co-founder, Laura Goodman, echoes that sentiment. “These are small businesses that many of us haven’t seen in person in almost a year, but that hasn’t stopped us from supporting them virtually or from a distance. This showcase is the culmination of thee efforts we know you all have been making. Virtual classes continue to be a great way for all of to safely gather and show love for these businesses. It’s easy, safe and fun!”

So put on your favorite quarantine outfit, boot up your computer, and join us for a great day! We recommend signing up with your roommate or other house mates and making the most of all these amazing classes. We promise, a delicious day awaits…
