Looking for a frightfully good time this Halloween season? From themed décor, food + drink specials, costume contests, live shows and more, the Chicago culinary community is ready to get all sorts of spooky in these upcoming weeks. Check out our list of Chicago restaurants that are hosting some epic Halloween celebrations:

Vela Bar y Cocina {352 West Hubbard Street, Chicago, IL; 312.888.3465}

Inspired by the culture and cuisine of Mexico City, Vela Bar y Cocina in River North is highlighting its heritage this season with a Dia de Los Muertos celebration from October 31 - November 3rd. Executive Chef Jorge Angulo will be serving up specialty dishes like Pozole & Pan de Muerto while the bar will be launching a brand new ‘Flores Para Los Muertos’ cocktail to celebrate! No one does “spooky” quite like Ina Mae Tavern’s VooDoo Lounge in Wicker Park. Throughout the month of October, Ina Mae will not only be decorated inside & out with all the Voodoo vibes, but will also host a variety of events. With Halloween cocktail specials, two different voodoo themed burlesque shows and a live DJ Halloween party on October 26th, the celebrations never seem to stop! Cap off the month with an epic celebration on Halloween night where Ina Mae will have goodie bags and FREE hot chocolate for kids as well as hot spiced wine, voodoo cocktails and live music from Nick Barron. Selva, the chic and vibrant rooftop atop The Emily Hotel, will be hosting a Día de los Muertos celebration on Friday, Nov. 1 from 8pm-1am. Expect cocktails, a photobooth, tarot card reader, live music and more! While costumes aren’t mandatory, they are highly encouraged as the best-dressed winner will win a free one night’s stay at The Emily! Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Saying his name 3 times worked and that means Beetlejuice will be heading to Bandit in the West Loop on October 26th. Spooky season, but make it ultra-cute and tasty. Chicago’s beloved bakery Sweet Mandy B’s will be offering festive treats from Thursday, October 17 through Tuesday, October 31, while supplies last. Their ghost cut-out cookies, furry monster brownies, bloody red velvet cupcakes, mummy cupcakes & Halloween themed decorated cakes are sure to be the biggest hit at your spooky holiday gatherings.

Get your Halloween groove on at The Owl’s Tassels and Tombs Burlesque Show on Thursday October 24th from 8-10pm in Logan Square! This exclusive show will feature performances from Chicago-based dancer and performer Lilly Rascal and musician Dr. Rocktagon as well as a live band and three rounds of burlesque acts from some special star guests. Those looking to start the night early can also enjoy The Owl’s $10 cocktail happy hour from 5-8pm! (Non-ticketed, no cover charge)

A tropical Tiki Bar and Halloween may not seem like a match, but River North’s award winning bar Three Dots and a Dash is here to prove us wrong! From 8pm-12am on Halloween night, Three Dots and a Dash will be hosting a Terror in the Tropics party featuring eight of the best tropical bars around the country, each serving their own signature cocktail, as well as a marketplace tent offering exclusive merchandise from all participating bars.
