New Year’s Eve and Day are always exciting holidays, but probably never moreso than this year. We can all agree that we’re ready for a fresh start, right? So let’s go out with a sizzle and a bang! In a year that gave us little to celebrate, we’re taking this chance to party it up (at home or outdoors) with our favorite Chicago spots. And our food family didn’t disappoint! Chicago chefs have showed up to give us one more amazing meal, and usher in 2021 with the perfect bites…
West Town Bakery {multiple locations}: Show us how you really feel about 2020! “F**K 2020” smash cakes are now available for pre-order from West Town Bakery but you have to get your orders in by 12/29 at noon! These sprinkle-filled cakes are the perfect way to release your anger or just celebrate the end of this disaster of a year 😂 You can pick up your sweets on 12/30 and 12/31 at their Wrigleyville and West Town locations and wave goodbye to 2020 in style.
The Smith {400 North Clark Street, Chicago; 312.312.5100}: You can pick up amazing meals for two or four from The Smith, just in time for the New Year. The meal kits include tasty bites like Chicken Wontons, Tuna Tartare, Braised Short Ribs, Lobster Risotto, Hazelnut Layer Cake, and more. If you want to eat great all week, the “Best of The Smith” gift box is also available for pick up all month long. Because who says you can only treat yourself on December 31?!

Daisies {2523 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago; 773.661.1671}: If you want to cook, but not do a ton of work, the Daisies “Beef Tenderloin Dinner for 2” is the perfect compromise. The meal comes with reheating instructions as well as accoutrements like horseradish cream, au jus, potatoes au gratin, pie for dessert, and more! It makes a great meal extra easy to achieve.

They have a decadent set menu for New Year’s Eve, and you can make it extra special by adding on a Build Your Own Charcuterie Board, Freshly Shaved White Truffles or large bubbles offerings, too.
