Happy Hour Spots for Those Extra Stressful Work Days

Nonnina

Nonnina

Sometimes being an adult is the worst. You have to pay bills and hang out with your in-laws, and worst of all… you have to go to work. Many of us are back in the office now, toiling away in front of a computer and re-heating leftovers for lunch in between hours of meetings that definitely could have been emails. At the end of the day, you might just be tired! And that’s okay! Because that’s why happy hour was invented 😊🥂 No matter how long or stressful your work day was, these spots will put a smile back on your face and a delicious drink in your hand all week long…

Monday: Nonnina {340 North Clark Street, Chicago; 312.822.0077}

Start your week with comfort food - and maybe by ducking out of work a little early 😉 The Nonnina happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3-6PM and includes $6 house wines and $7 cocktails, plus deals on parmesan truffle fries, oysters, and more. You can even bring your four-legged friend for extra Monday fun! Nonnina’s patio has a “Puppy Menu” that is perfect if you want to dine with your dog.

Tuesday: Tanta {118 West Grand Avenue, Chicago; 312.222.9700}

Tuesday is an awkward day of the week so it deserves something extra special. You might need a few cocktails to make it to Hump Day, and we totally get that 😉 Tanta does, too! They have discounted cocktails like La Guapa (lavender infused gin, rhubarb syrup, lemon, sparkling rosé), plus wine and beer deals as well. Their snacks are where they really shine though - with menu items like empanadas, cebiche and more! Enjoy them on their gorgeous rooftop for the perfect after work relaxation 😎

Wednesday: The Signature Room at the 95th® {875 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago; 312.787.9596}

If you’re a wine-lover, you need to head to this long-time Chicago favorite on Wednesday from 5-10PM! They have half-off select cellar wines at the restaurant on the 95th, making it easy to try that splurge wine at a more accessible price. Want food to go with those delicious sips? Head to their Lounge instead for specials like $2 oysters and jumpbo shrimp, and discounts on select rosé at The Signature Lounge on the 96th from 3-10PM on Wednesdays as well. It might just become your favorite day of the week!

It’s almost Friday - Let’s celebrate! With half priced pizzas and select wines by the glass, Osteria via Stato is helping you get to the weekend with ease. Their happy hour runs Sunday through Thursday from 5-6PM and then on Friday and Saturday from 4:30-5:30PM. It’s a small window so make the most of every bite! We recommend the House-Made Fennel Sausage Pizza with housemade sausage, mozzarella, and tomato sauce for a classic meal.

Friday: Prime & Provisions {222 North LaSalle Street, Chicago; 312.726.7777}

Save the best for last and end your week on a high note!
