No matter if you’re venturing out for a summer bite, or still want to carryout your favorite meals and enjoy them at home, there’s a carnivorous feast ready for you. We made it easy... all you have to do is EAT!
Smoke Daddy {multiple locations}: You can bet these guys take their BBQ seriously! Smoke Daddy promises meat-focused meals “to be enjoyed together for lip-smacking, slow-cooked, savory goodness,” and they do deliver. Their Chicken + Ribs Platter gives you a taste of some of the kitchen’s best, but make sure to add a side of Mac-n-Cheese too!
Frontier {1072 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago; 773.772.4322}: If you’re a bit of an expert in the world of BBQ, you might be looking for more of a challenge this summer. In that case, let us introduce you to Frontier! Their whole animal dinner experiences include everything from whole goat and lamb to antelope and alligator! While not all of them are traditional BBQ dishes, they’re certainly one-of-a-kind.

They also have limited seating if you want to dine in and take full advantage of the best in Chicago ribs.
Jake Melnick’s
Jake Melnick's {41 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.266.0400}: We can’t talk enough about the Jake Melnick’s chicken wings, but their BBQ offerings certainly don’t stop there. You can also get Dry Rubbed Sliced Beef Brisket, Hot Links, and more! We might not see a traditional “gameday” at this sports bar for a while, but you can still enjoy their offerings on their patio, or have them delivered right to your door.
Bluegrass {1636 Old Deerfield Road, Highland Park; 847.831.0595}: The suburbs can get down with BBQ too! Bluegrass has ongoing “Smoked Specials” and Tuesdays are Rib Night to boot. Their Baby Back Ribs are worth a visit all on their own, even from the city! Pair them with a beer or a cocktail for a great summer evening meal.
Flat & Point {3524 West Fullerton Avenue, Chicago; 773.904.7152}: From “Ribs Like Wings” to the famous Flat Point Burger, you can pick up your own BBQ feast from Flat & Point. For those who aren’t ready to dine out at restaurants yet, this is the perfect place to pick up a take away dinner to go.
