Bandit {841 West Randolph Street, Chicago; 312.666.6061}: We all like a burger to ourselves now and then (okay a lot), but some burgers really are best shared. Enter, The Diplomat. It’s made of four 3oz Slagel Farms beef patties, crispy shallots, sharp cheddar, bacon jam, dill pickles, caramelized onion aioli, and then served on a 4x4 sheet of parker house rolls. You can literally rip into the burgers and enjoy them individually, and yet, still together. This signature burger is served atop a cake stand with a knife, for all the pre-feast photos too.

Mott Street {1401 North Ashland Avenue, Chicago; 773.687.9977}: If you’re a burger conneussier, you’ve probably had all the classics. So, it’s time to mix it up with something more creative for your next meal! The Mott Burger is made with double chuck patties, sweet potato shoestrings, hoisin aioli, pickled jalapeños, dill pickles, miso butter onions, and american cheese for a truly unique meal that will have you hooked from bite one.

Fuller House {35 East 1st Street, Hinsdale; 630.568.5466}: There is a burger for every palette at this bistro, but we recommend the Derby Winner, served with yellow cheddar, nueske bacon, onion strings, and bourbon BBQ on a pretzel bun. Anyone who orders that will feel like a winner indeed.

Lucca Osteria & Bar {1415 West 22nd Street, Oak Brook; 630.866.7234}: A new addition to the Chicago suburbs, Lucca Osteria has a full menu of classic Italian dishes, but that doesn’t mean you can forget about The Burger. Made with kobe beef, then topped with a fried egg, crispy pancetta, caramelized onion, and mozzarella cheese, it’s the perfect accompaniment to one of their pizzas or pastas.

Prime & Provisions {222 North LaSalle Street, Chicago; 312.726.7777}: For a great burger, a steakhouse is always a good choice. They know how to prepare burgers to perfection, and Prime & Provisions is no exception to this rule. Served with sharp Wisconsin American cheese, tomato, onion, pickle, dijonaise, and a brioche bun, this is the burger you have when you just got that promotion or closed the big deal.

The Loyalist {177 North Ada Street, #001, Chicago; 773.913.3774}: You know it, you love it, it has to be mentioned. The Loyalist Original Burger is a Chicago classic with a classic recipe to boot. Perfectly cooked burger, served with pickled & charred onion on a sesame seed bun. Sometimes, that’s all you need for an amazing meal.
