The Peninsula Chicago {108 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.337.2888}: Since Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, why not make your date last all weekend long? You can treat your sweetheart to a staycation with the Peninsula’s “Sweet Home Chicago” package and dig in to culinary experiences at the hotel’s restaurants while you’re there too! Shanghai Terrace and The Lobby have Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two as well as Champagne and Oysters that you can enjoy at the hotel, or take to-go.
Arami {1829 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago; 312.243.1535}: If you’ve been missing the expert and attentive experience of Arami’s dining room, you’re in luck! Though they do not normally allow indoor dining, they will be opening for limited seating over Valentine’s Day weekend! It’s a limited-time chance to fully immerse yourself in their menu before they return to carryout and delivery menus after the holiday. Don’t miss out!
Tanta {118 West Grand Avenue, Chicago; 312.222.9700}: For a firey meal full of flavor, Tanta has a date night for two all planned and ready! You can order their four-course menu through Tuesday night (2/9) and pick-up for an easy but decadent dinner. All you have to do is reheat to enjoy 48-hour boneless short rib, warm chocolate cake and more!
The Goddess and Grocer {multiple locations}: Plan a staycation at home, but feel like you’re at one of the city’s fancy hotels with “room service” from The Goddess and Grocer. You can start the day off right with brunch cocktails, Smoked Salmon, Avocado Sourdough Toast, Chocolate Strawberries and more… all delivered so you can enjoy in bed! It’s the perfect start to what could turn into an all-day date ❤️
Travelle at The Langham, Chicago {330 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago; 312.923.7705}: There are SO many ways to celebrate with The Langham this year! Start by getting their “Valentine’s Day Breakfast in Bed Kit,” complete with Quiche Loraine, and chocolate covered strawberries. That’ll start your day off right! To finish it out in style, there is also the “Quarantined Love Kit” from Chef Jeff Vucko with a dinner to cook at home including Dungeness Crab Cake, Prime Filet Mignon, and more. You can also dig in to dessert with the Travelle “My Heart Melts for You Ice Cream Sundae Kit” including house spun ice creams like Love at First Bite Pint (dark chocolate ice cream, raspberry Stracciatella ribbons, and brownie chunks) along with a trio of sauces like Pour Some (Hot Fudge). avec {multiple locations}: This long-time West Loop favorite is opening a second location in River North right in time for Valentine’s Day! avec River North will offer the same rustic Mediterranean-inspired dishes we all know and love from their first location, and they’ll also be offering a special holiday menu for carryout, delivery and pick-up even in select suburbs. Homestead on the Roof {1924 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago; 773.332.2354}: Homestead Chef de Cuisine Bryan Collante has created four and six course Italian-inspired dinners for two that include classic dishes like Caprese Salad, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Molten Chocolate Cake. It’s the perfect menu of comfort food for a winter meal in Chicago. But move quickly - The Homestead Valentine’s dinner orders must be placed by noon on February 7!
Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel {221 North Columbus Drive, Chicago; 312.638.6686}: Get out of the house and book a staycation for two at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel! Their “Valentine’s Day Getaway” is available ffor the whole weekend with a selection of in-room dining options from the hotel’s restaurant, FireLake.
